A Divemaster is the entry-level of being dive professional, they are the first into the shop in the morning.
They arrange the equipment, organised the boat and work closely with the captain of the vessel -may be even captaining of the boat.
Divemasters help maintain equipment, fill the cylinders they also help students and fellow divers with any queries and questions they may have... Being a Divemaster is one of the most important jobs in the whole industry.
The Divemaster course can be completed in as little as ten days if you have enough dives under your belt, otherwise, you are looking at four to six weeks of solid diving every day -it’s tough at the top.
You will dive, dive & dive usually everyday gaining as much experience as possible along the way. The Dive theory is a fundamental part of the course and you will learn all about the physiology, equipment, decompression theory, physics, dive skills and diving environment, and how to help students and work closely with fellow Divemasters and Instructors.
At this point, it is imperative that you have your own scuba equipment
• Snorkel and Fins

You Will Learn
During the Divemaster course, you will learn and understand leadership skills and techniques through classroom and independent study.
You will complete several water skills and stamina tests, as well as thorough training exercises that test your own capabilities to arrange and solve dive associated issues -as well as helping others along the way.
As you develop on the Divemaster course, you will gain a greater understanding of diving knowledge, your dive skills should become second nature and of course, your confidence will increase.

It is advised to go through all the materials you will need on this course with your instructors and dive school before starting this amazing course.
To take this course, you must be:
• 18 years old
• A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
• A PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
• An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months.
• Have at least forty dives to begin the course and a minimum of sixty for certification
• Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
The Next Big Adventure
The Assistant Instructor or straight onto the Instructor Development Course (IDC) is for you.
The price will include all transfers to and from the boat from your specified accommodations. Most transfers are all-inclusive, however some areas, due to their location, have a surcharge.
There will be a light Breakfast served on the boat upon arrival as well as lunch, which will be served in-between dives. All drinks like water, coffee & tea and Milo are all-inclusive on the boat.
The price for the course, manual, certification fee, Instructor, boat trip, equipment rental, tanks and weights are also covered in the package. For the dive master course, there are additional fees to be paid to PADI. Please contact us.
