Emergency First Response training course will teach you serious medical emergency response skills in an optimistic, constructive setting. You will expand your knowledge and grow in confidence to help you be ready for whenever if ever that emergency occurs.
We believe this is one of the fundamental training courses in the whole PADI system because practicing CPR First aid and CPR are good skills for anyone involved in adventure sport. And, you will also need a certification to be able to complete the Rescue Dive Course.
Emergency First Response is a PADI affiliate program that specializes in teaching these essential life-saving techniques – and they’re for everybody with an interest, not just divers.
What You Learn
• Scuba diving training class that includes CPR
• BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing
• AED (automated external defibrillator) use (optional)
• Preventing and caring for shock
• Spinal injury management
• Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
• Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations
The Learning Materials will You Need
You shall receive the Primary and Secondary Care Manual and through a combination of self- study and practical application overseen by a qualified instructor, you’ll build the confidence and skills to provide basic emergency care if it is ever required.
You will review the Primary and Secondary Care Manual and view the DVD alongside your instructor who will reiterate the vital points and answer all questions about emergency scenarios and provide step-by-step demonstrations.
The Emergency First Response Care also comes with a Glance card which is a reference guide for emergencies. Its design will allow it to be stored in most convenient places at work at the home or on the move and is important for any first-aid or disaster preparedness kit.
To complete the Emergency First Response courses means you care about others and want to be able to assist them in the event of a medical emergency – this is not just for scuba divers this course can be applied at anywhere at any time.
Your Next Adventure
Beside the Primary and Secondary Care Courses, Emergency First Response offers Care for Children. This course or a similar one is vital if you are taking the Rescue Diver Course.
