Scuba Review Course
PADI Scuba Diver Refresher Course
Scuba Review Course
The PADI Scuba Review Course is designed and recommended for divers who have not dived for six months or longer and would like to refresh their skills, before getting back in the water.
We have some wonderful places to take the Scuba refresher Course such as Racha Yai & Racha Noi the Phi Phi Islands and the Similans this course is perfect for a Day Trip and also possible as part of a Liveaboard experience.
Typically your instructor would refresh your memory on all the diving gear used when we dive and remind you about the physics and physiology and also go through the hand signals too.
You will then apply everything in a confined water (water shallow enough to stand in) where you can practice your skills again before heading out on your first dive.
The short course does not take too long and is a little reminder of what you learnt on your Open Water Course. We also recommend taking this course if you are going to dive on a Liveaboard and have not dived in a while
Here is what you will go over:
• Safe diving practices
• Dive planning fundamentals
• Problem management
• Breathing air at depth
• Recreational diving and dive tables: basic knowledge
• Recreational diving and dive tables: dive planning
Scuba diving is a little like riding a bike you never really forget and it takes just a little while before you feel your confidence returning… now, where are those fishes?
You’ll use all the scuba gear including:
• Snorkel and Fins
• Buoyancy Compensating Jacket (BCD)
• A Regulator
• Depth and Air Gauges
• Weight system
You Will Learn
Just a quick reminder here is a few questions as a taster
1. What are the five steps in a pre-dive safety check?
2. What is the maximum depth limit for all recreational diving?
3. What are the signs and symptoms of decompression sickness?
4. At 12meters/ 40 feet a diver runs out of air. Her buddy is more than 60 feet away, what should she do?
There is a scuba tune-up book with these and other questions and anything you are not sure of your instructor will go through it with you.
• Have a scuba diver certification from Padi or another similar organization or be enrolled in a scuba certification course
• Be at least 10 years old
